Fresh Paint: Celebrating Southern Arizona's artistic talent Saturday November 14, 2009 Click here to see pictures of the event. Fresh Paint was a one-day fundraising event sponsored by The University of Arizona Museum of Art (UAMA) and the UAMA Partners Board. This new and exciting event showcased both established artists and fresh artistic talent in creating art that was displayed in the Museum's Main Gallery and auctioned to benefit the exhibitions and educational programs of UAMA. In the spirit of Fresh Paint, artists were encouraged to create a two-dimensional artwork -- in any medium -- on November 14 so that the finished work is truly "fresh." All artworks were placed in the Silent Auction and the works of art receiving the highest silent bids were placed in a Live Auction later that evening. Approximately 118 works were accepted for this event. This casual venue also featured fabulous food, fun music, and socializing with the Fresh Paint artists. The Silent Auction began at 6:00 pm. At 7:30 the Live Auction featured the 5 highest silent bid items while the Silent Auction continued until 8:30 pm. Artists: See the list of artists who donated to Fresh Paint.
