In October 1956, UAMA — then known as the University Gallery — opened its doors to the public for the first time.

In honor of our 70th birthday, Members are invited to join us on a walk down memory lane through a special presentation by Visitor & Member Services Lead Myriam Sandoval and Director Chelsea Farrar! We'll explore the fascinating history of UAMA, like how an alum with a passion for art, a prized stamp collection and a dream to create a permanent art collection at the University of Arizona...did just that!
