Group Visits

Want to share the art museum with your class or group? We’re excited to help you plan a meaningful self-guided or guided experience.

All groups of eight or more — even self-guided — must complete the Group Visit Request Form at least three weeks in advance. This is to ensure we have capacity to host your class or group at your desired time, and to keep the galleries safe and accessible for all. You will receive a confirmation email and further details about your visit via the email address you provide.

Guided Tours

UAMA educators will develop a welcoming, interactive experience that can be customized to fit the curricular needs or goals of your class or group. Guided tours last about one hour and may be limited by availability of tour guides and space. Group size is limited to 40 at a time and groups larger than 15-20 will usually be divided into smaller groups to ensure everyone has a more engaging experience. One adult per every 10 students is required for K-12 groups.

Guided tours are available Tuesday-Friday, 10:00am – 4:30pm.

Self-Guided Group Visit

Teachers, instructors, or group leaders can also request a self-guided museum visit and lead their own class or group while at the museum. One adult chaperone per every 10 students is required for K-12 visits, and K-8 groups larger than 20 students must be guided by a UAMA educator. Each required chaperone is free, and additional chaperones are $6.00 each.

Group Size

The UAMA welcomes groups up to 40 people at a time. For larger groups, we can offer suggestions for rotating your group between the museum, outdoor public art, or other campus sites. Please contact us if you have questions about the size of your group.

Cost

Guided tours and self-guided group visits are FREE for universities, colleges, and Title 1 K-12 schools.

All other K-12 groups: $3/student for guided tours (One adult per ten students is required and receives free admission)

University and College groups: free guided and self-guided visits

Adult (18+) groups: $6/person for guided and self-guided visits

Any fees can be paid by cash, check, or credit card when you arrive at the Museum. Advance payment may be possible by contacting Myriam Sandoval, msandoval1@arizona.edu.
